About me

Hi, Oisín here. I'm an educator, musician, arts worker and native Irish speaker. Hup! was developed out of a desire to change the way that young people interact with the language in the classroom. This method of teaching builds on the principle of content language integrated learning which is at the cutting-edge of language pedagogy. For the past 5 years, I have been performing on stages at home and abroad, including nationally broadcast performances. I believe that children need to be shown how the language can thrive outside of the classroom setting in the real world. I created these workshops to inspire young people to use Irish in their daily lives and to see the creative potential of their native language in shaping their future.
